how to format a table/ cell border in word

Formatting borders: this is making the border line of a cell or table more appealing to the viewer’s sight. To apply the various border styles/ formats to a table simply follow below steps:

  • Select the table or cells to be formatted 
  • Click design ribbon then

    • Identify the draw borders panel then click on its extension  to display borders and shading dialogue box.

      • Use the dialogue box that appears to manipulate the table or

          • Alternatively use the table styles panel to format.
